FAQ from the In-Person Outdoor Video Premiere

  • So what exactly is this show?

  • Our production this year is a pre-taped musical revue. We are performing music from each decade of musical theatre history from the 1940s through today from shows were probably won’t be doing in the near future (hence the title). All music and vocals were pre-recorded and then lip-synced while on stage.

  • And the in-person premiere?

    • We will be playing the entire video on a 15 foot screen outdoors!

  • Was recording done safely?

    • Anyone who’s ever met Director Doug Panetta knows his motto is “Safety is no accident.” The entire production was conducted with every precaution to be safe in the current health crisis. Masks were used by cast and crew at all times except when the cameras were rolling. A COVID Questionnaire was completed by all cast and crew before every rehearsal and temperatures were taken upon arrival.

  • When is this happening?

    • Thursday May 27th, 2021

  • What time?

    • Doors are at 7:00pm, Show starts around 8:00pm

  • Where do I go?

    • Herm Shaw Field at Roselle Park High School. It’s the baseball/softball field on W. Colfax Ave.

  • Do I need a ticket?

    • No ticket is necessary, but if it starts getting full, we will be capping the number of people, so arrive early.

  • So I can get in for free‽‽‽

    • Absolutely. We are asking a $5 suggested donation, but no entry fee is required.

  • What if I want to give more?

    • We’d love and appreciate that! In fact, anyone who donates $10 or more will receive a RPHS Theatre pin!

  • Where do I go to get in?

    • There will be two entrances. One is on Colfax Ave. by the Concession Stand. The other is the gate on the high school grounds by the Tennis Courts.

  • What precautions are you taking?

    • We are following NJ State mandates and are asking that each group maintain respectful social distance from other groups. Hand sanitizer will also be available and all food will be prepackaged.

  • So there will there be food?

    • We will be serving light concessions, again, all pre-packaged to be safe.

  • Will seating be provided?

    • We are providing the field itself. Please bring your own blankets and chairs in order to be comfy-cozy while enjoying the show.

  • Is there a rain date?

    • Yep! Wednesday June 2nd.

  • Oh no, I can’t make it that day!

    • Don’t fret! Just click on the YouTube tab above on May 28th, where we will be releasing the full video, also for free!

  • This all seems generous!

    • It is just our way of thanking the entire Roselle Park community and extended RPHS Theatre family (which you are a part of) for all the support past, present and future.
